I draw the borders of my life clearly
with words carefully chosen
experience thoughtfully labelled
I am secure there
But today an experience invaded me
that defies my definitions
and refuses my labels
It possessed me
and words cannot contain it
I want to tell you about it
but my words will not respond
What I feel cannot be told in words
Thank you for that experience
real but not defined
It lives between us
within us
and defines us
